My two year old went to this school which is pretty nice, but Savannah is very small and word gets around. A friend of mine knew three of the girls working there and the all smoked illegal things. The background check is not thorough for all staff because two criminals were working there. You have no privacy when you want to review the tapes in which they should have more than one computer. My child has been picked up without anyone showing I.D. They have healthy lunch which is a plus. The school is great for learning but I was more worried about the staff and assistants. I would here a lot of stories quoted from staff talking about the children and how the they are barely watched. It's scary having criminals heads caring for your children.

After a friend told me that this place was the "Ritz Carlton" of childcare centers, I decided to check it out. I wasn't really unhappy where I was, but like every parent, I want my child to have THE BEST! And I found it. Kicklighter Academy is a great place for my son. He has curriculum and is learning so fast. The teachers are great and I am confident that he will be ready for Kindergarten when the time comes. I like that they deal with children with developmental disabilities & delays because they were able to spot some weaknesses in my son's learning curve and we corrected it immediately. Some other cool things are that classrooms are separated by age and they even have two 3 yr old classrooms. They were voted 2008 Best Childcare Center. If you are new to the area or just want the BEST for your child, give them a call. They are also very affordable.

Kicklighter is a wonderful school for ALL children. They Specialize in children with special needs. However, they accept ALL children. I like the fact that you can watch your child on video at the office if you have any questions about their day or if you just want to do it. You can talk to the Director at any time if you have any concerns and she will address them. I like the security. You can only walk into the school if you have a key, if you do not the door will have to be opened for you. The only thing I would say negative about this school is lack of communication from the classroom to the parent. However, I know that they are working on this and it can be fixed. If you are looking for a school that you don't want to think about the safety of your child and like the low teacher to child ratios. Then this is the school for you!
