For over 50 years Love's has been serving the highest quality seafood in the area(Coastal Living Magazine"One of the Top 25 Seafood Restaurants From Maine to Clifornia).Great views overlooking the Ogeechee River, with alligators and manatees. Also some of Forrest Gump filmed here.

Cons: 15 minutes from Savannah downtown

We arrived at 9:15. It took 5 minutes for someone to come to the front and seat us. We waited another 10 minutes for our order to be taken. Our meal arrived at 10 pm. Service was very poor although the food was good.

Pros: Food was good

Cons: Poor service. The young night manager deserves to be canned.

Price Range: $1 - $5

NOT RECOMMENDED: We had a two week reservation for a party of 33 people.. after waiting for almost two hours we all left.. very bad management and the manager was rude to every one.

I love to love loves

I am a local of Savannah and go to love's seafood quite often. Love's has a great atmosphere and view of the Ogeechee river. Meanwhile the food is exceptional, the cleanliness of the building meets my high standards, and the service is great. Sometimes you do have to wait a while for your food, but the great view and friendly atmosphere makes up for that. I highly recommend this resturaunt to everyone with a taste for seafood and steaks wether local or visiting.

Love's is fine...

We live in Richmond Hill and eat @ Love's from time to time. It's a bit pricey to eat very often as a local, but when we do, we're not usually disappointed. My favorite items (I usually end up w/ the same thing every time) is the whole fried catfish "all you can eat" and the spinach side (you'll be surprised, it's very good). Although the catfish will have a somewhat muddy flavor sometimes (depends on where the fish came from I here), they're always cooked to perfection. If you're in the area, I'd also recommend Sunbury Crab Company. Geat location, just sit back and pick crabs before dinner.
